I actually like them both. I own a lot of both of their products and think they are both effective. John Freida products cost a bit more, but are worth every cent! I also like Garnier products too, because they work really good and smell great also!! Garnier's shampoos make your hair silky and smooth, but I think that John Freida's products make your hair thicker and adds more volume to your hair. I want to deep condition my hair, and I use Garnier Fructis Conditioner, should I leave it in longer, mix it, add more????? I can't buy (at this time) anything else. I have used Garnier Fructis products and refuse to every use them again for the residue they leave behind is horrible. Should I be that worried about it?
I have read the dangers about sodium laureth sulfate. If I only use this one time then switch to a salon brand should I be okay and not worry?I am using Garnier length%26amp;strength shampoo and I know that it contains sulfate...?

i haven't tried that exact product, but i do know that the garnier i have makes my hair dry and feel almost greasy right after i washed it. and it also makes it kind of chunk together. it's really weird how it makes it feel. it's hard to explain. i wouldn't reccomend using ANY garnier.

personally...no. lots of shampoo and conditioners you get from the supermarket, etc (other than a salon) are crap, they have too much silicone, not cleansing enough for your hair, or dry it out. but, there are 3 brands that i have found that are good. 1. Dove, 2. Pantene and 3. Tresemme. the last one is probably better becasue it is actually a salon brand. you would need a combination shampoo. a normal shampoo, becasue if your hair is oily moisturisors from shampoos would only make it worse, also when actually applying shampoo, dont start at the top of head, start from the bottom up. and the second shampoo you would need is a volume one. you can get combination shampoos from salons, or get a normal shampoo, and buy volume hairstyle products
your best bet would be to spend the extra money and go to a salon where they can give you the exact one for your hair

I used to go to hair school and they told us a lot of unprofessional products will put things in it to make your hair really nice at first, but then something in it will damage your hair so that you think you need more of the product.. for example pantene puts sawdust in their product. also if you use herbal Essenes or i think its garnier fructis (could also be pantene) tell your stylist before she does high lights bc this shampoo causes the foils to burst open (jus at the ends not literally explode) and causes leaking.

1 Take yellow of the egg, add some lemon juice , apply on the hair %26amp; let them dry. wash and let them dry over your shoulders naturally.
2 Apply the normal curd to your hair, let it remain for 10 minutes %26amp; wash with a nice shampoo.Is Garnier Fructis a good shampoo?

it makes my hair really soft, and makes the color stand out well at least it has for mine.
but, if your hair is dyed with semi-perminate dye it will make your hair lighter .. you can see the dye coming out actually, so just be careful if you have dyed hair.
I'd also recommend going to a salon and getting your ends trimmed .. and maybe purchasing a moisturizing conditioner there.

it's not hard to find, check your local drug store.
it depends which type you are using. i have heard stories that sometimes people who use the one with moisture wash thier hair to much so they have oily hair. i use garnier fructis sleek and shine in the summer. its good for dry and frizzy hair. if you use the leave in conditioner along with the serum your hair will look beautiful. just try to limit washing your hair to every 2-3 days. hope i helped.

Which is a better shampoo? Garnier UltraDoux or Dove?
Hey,
I'm running out of shampoo and ready to try out something new, can someone please tell me which is better out of the two? Garnier UltraDoux or Dove. I have dry hair and really frizzy in the morning.

Garnier makes your hair retain water (it can do that lol)

Well I actually did prefer Garnier before I read all these comments. But I also did try Dove before and it didn't do anything too special, I really love suave even though people say it is cheap and whatever it really works great and does so good to my hair!

look on the bottles....if either have ceytl or sterile alcohol as an ingredient, they are bad and will dry out your hair even further. I would go with a more natural product. Good luck!

If you have to pull your hair back, then braid it and put the band at the bottom, this will only damage the very ends of your hair instead of the top.
Try to only shampoo every few days, not everyday.

I also let my hair dry naturally, don't use the blow dryer at all. If you can avoid further damaging your hair doing other things to it like coloring, perming, drying, whatever...you should see some great results.

but now that I'm in Singapore I can't find it... I'm even contemplating of buying online so they can deliver that stuff to me but I'm not sure how to do it...

Any shampoo from a supermarket will only make it worst. Hair dresser's are the best place to buy good shampoo ask for a nice thick heavy one because they have some crappy ones to. I tell you I use PPS in the pink bottle shampoo and Con it is unbelievable oh and with th PPS leave in moisturiser after shampooing and conditioning you will see the difference I am living proof hun.

Any shampoo from a supermarket will only make it worst. Hair dresser's are the best place to buy good shampoo ask for a nice thick heavy one because they have some crappy ones to. I tell you I use PPS in the pink bottle shampoo and Con it is unbelievable oh and with th PPS leave in moisturiser after shampooing and conditioning you will see the difference I am living proof hun.

Most will say to just rinse with water when you're in the shower to wash your body, and use some conditioner -- I don't, and most shouldn't, because it tends to make the hair filmy, I think most people are better off using shower caps on the off days and just not getting their hair wet at all and it will look gorgeous!
With a good conditioner and a wide tooth comb, you can get away with brushing while the hair is wet, if you can avoid it that's great but if not, it's not as big a deal as people will tell you =o)
Not to like dog another answer it's prob just a typo, but it's best to brush from the ends and work up, too many people just start at the root and yank all the way down and that's pretty harsh on your lil hairs. Seriously, I would advise a professional shampoo. Garnier Fructis, Herbal Essences, and Dove contain a ingredient that leaves a waxy layer on your hair. I would recommend, Paul Mitchell or some other professional shampoo, you can usually find them at hair salons. There are also products that you can buy that you put on after shampooing to make your hair stronger. If you do feel the need to go with one of the three shampoos you listed however, I would probably have to recommend Garnier Fructis.

In the past I've used ones for strength, moisture, smoothness, and strength. But out of the 3 choices, I would say Garnier Frutis. I used to use that one too and it worked well but different shapoos work better for different people. I would try them all for a short period of time and see which works the best for your type of hair!

i've tried long and strong and i've also tried herbal essences version of long and strong shampoo and conditioner. they both work really well, and at one point i had both brands in my shower. one day i squirted a little of garnier into my hand AND some herbal essences into my hand and mixed the 2 together and did the same thing with the conditioner. my hair was SO soft and shiny once it was dry, i really loved how the 2 worked together. good luck!

Garnier smells okay, but there are much better smelling shampoos out there.
pantene smells amazing and leaves your hair super shiny
my favorite is loreal vive pro pearl protein complex because it smells so amazing and i always get a ton of compliments when i wear it.

How long to see results from the Garnier Fructics Sleek and Shine shampoo/conditioner?
If I used the shampoo and conditionor constantly everday, then after how many weeks would my poofy and frizzy hair turn to non-poofy, non-frizzy, sleek hair?Would especially help if you have had experience.How long to see results from the Garnier Fructics Sleek and Shine shampoo/conditioner?

I love Herbal Essences for about 1/2 a bottle. Is Garnier the same way?Does Garnier Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner leave build up?

If you use moisturizing shampoo when you have oily hair, then you will get build-up. If you condition too much you will also get build-up. Try using light shampoos and condition less often. Any shampoo will leave build up if you keep using it. Thats way you love your Herbal Essences only for about 1/2 a bottle....find like three different brands you like, keep them in stock in your shower...once you get to about half a bottle switch to one of the others...then once you get to half a bottle with that one, switch to the other one...keep doing that and you shouldn't have a problem with any of them. Its always best not to use one shampoo all the time...switch it up.
I don't know i have never used it, other Shampoos and Conditioners have (since i moved to the U.S, the water and weather have messed with my hair). So i started to use this stuff i get were i get my hair done. It's called Green tree tea, it's really works wonders on my hair.It's about $6.95 a bottle.

I can't use Garnier at all-it leaves a film on my hair. I have really coarse, curly hair and I find that Infusium 23 is the best shampoo/conditioner for me.

if your hair is dry, like mine, garnier shampoo %26amp;%26amp; conditioner makes your hair stronger and smoother [[gets rid of that dry fried look too]]

My Housemate told me it made her scalp break out in painful pustules. Needless to say, I use Pantene.
